Capturing Connection: Anuska’s Equestrian and Foal Photoshoot Experience

What started as a simple foal photoshoot enquiry turned into something much more special. When Anuska first got in touch, her main focus was to document those fleeting early days with her gorgeous young foal Basil. But as soon as I arrived and we got chatting, the session naturally grew into a beautiful opportunity to capture her whole four-legged family.

Set in the peaceful countryside, with fields full of golden evening light, I didn’t just photograph the foal. We brought in the rest of the herd too, including Anuska’s mega Border Collie, Jax. The result? A heartfelt equestrian photoshoot filled with emotion, connection and joy.

I also created a 1-minute highlight video to complement the gallery of images, bringing movement and music to an already memorable afternoon. This added layer is perfect for those wanting to relive their shoot in a more immersive way and share it with friends and family.

What I loved most about this session was how relaxed and personal it felt. There is never any pressure to pose, dress or be a certain way and seeing Anuska at ease around her horses is exactly the experience I want to give.
